December 18, 2020
The “Chimera” collection by CEDIT – Ceramiche d’Italia has won the 70th edition of the Good Design Awards, the most prestigious and historic international design award in the world. Awarded annually by the Chicago Athenaeum, Museum of Architecture and Design in collaboration with the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, this important recognition registered a record number of entries this year.
Among more than 900 products from over 48 countries, Chimera was selected for its unique design, rich in symbolism and for its innovative ceramic surface processing technique, capable of creating three-dimensional tactile elements of extraordinary effect. The series, designed by Elena Salmistraro for CEDIT, was awarded in the “floor and wall covering” category and will be featured in the GOOD DESIGN Yearbook 2020-2021.
