This year, on the occasion of the National Energy Saving Day, Florim is participating in the "M'illumino di Meno" campaign to spread the culture of environmental sustainability and resource conservation.

Sunday, February 16, the exterior lighting of Florim's 4.0 plants in Fiorano Modenese and Mordano will be turned off for the entire day. A symbolic gesture but of great impact, aimed at raising public awareness on the crucial issue of energy saving, always at the heart of Florim's actions and translated over the years into these initiatives:

  • All plants are equipped with state-of-the-art and low energy impact systems.
  • Since 2011, Florim has invested in photovoltaic systems for the production of electricity. To date, the company has installed panels over 127,000 sqm of surface area for a total capacity of 12.3 MWp.
  • Thanks to these and two cogeneration plants, the company is able to self-produce up to 100% of the electrical needs for its Italian sites, and if necessary, purchases only electricity from certified renewable sources.
  • About 80% of the production facilities are lit with low-energy LED lighting.
  • An internal manual on energy saving has been distributed to spread good practices in the workplace and at home.

Certified ISO 50001 for energy management, Florim is committed to avoiding energy waste as a commitment to a more sustainable future.
Aware of how crucial the energy transition is and must be undertaken collectively, with this symbolic gesture, the company aims to contribute to the awareness campaign by inviting the community to reflect on the need to reduce consumption and preserve resources.
